MISSION STATEMENT
The Galveston Coalition of Advance Practice Nurses ~ GCAPN ~
is a local organization which represents
Advance Practice Nurses in the Gulf Coast Area of Texas.
The mission and purpose of the group is to serve as an educational
and networking resource to develop and promote the professional standards and practice of Advance Practice Nurses.

GOALS
The goals of the organization are:
To promote, advance and support the role of the APN;
To serve as mentors to APN students and graduates;
To provide educational information to APN's to improve the quality of patient care in the Texas Gulf Coast Region;
To act as a networking resource to promote communication among APN's and the community we serve; and
To collaborate with other groups to promote the field of
Advance Practice Nursing

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
GCAPN membership is open to all APN, CNS, nurse educators,
nurse managers and other Master's prepared nurses or
students seeking advance nursing degrees.
Dues are $35.00 per year for regular members and
$20.00 per year for student members.
